It is thought that the two cyclists on stilts are perhaps linked to the Circus coming to Brighton or Hove. The picture is likely to have been taken outside the Currys Radio Store (which used to also sell bicycles) and is situated at 24-25 York Place, London Road (opposite St Peters Church).
Heny Curry started in the cycle trade, opening his own business in 1884.
