MARINE PARADE – OLD STEINE CORNER
Crowds gather on the corner opposite the Aquarium & Pier which was the Lyons Tea Rooms, before it moved to the bottom of St James St., Brighton.
The policeman has been identified via a contributor on the BrightonPast Facebook site as Fred Harris.
Look at the faces and the clothes of all the people waiting patiently for the event to pass.
Note, they are all wearing hats!
What are they waiting for? Could it be the London to Brighton 'old croaks' or walking race.
