AQUARIUM ROUDABOUT, BRIGHTON

The busy crossing adjacent to The Albion Hotel near the Old Steine with people walking towards the Palace Pier.

The posts on the traffic lights are painted black and white hoops so they could be seen during the blackout during WWII. This suggests the date of the photograph is about right.

Have a look at the faces, the fashions and the surroundings. What were they all thinking and where were they going? Such an array of different busy people from various walks of life.
